Our Community

Serving others is at the heart of the Christian faith and central to the teaching and example of Jesus Christ. We believe we are called to show God’s love in practical ways by caring for those in need, supporting our local community, and responding compassionately to hardship wherever we see it.

Throughout the year, we support a number of charities and community organisations, with most receiving donations of at least £1,000, alongside practical help and volunteer support from members of our congregation.

The organisations we currently support include:

• Disasters Emergency Committee 

Most of the charities we support are local to our community, although we also respond to international disasters and emergency appeals when help is urgently needed.

As a congregation situated in an affluent area of the city, we recognise our responsibility to use our resources, skills, and experience in the service of others. Many of our members are current or former professionals who generously give their time and talents to support those facing hardship or disadvantage.

In all of this, we seek to follow Jesus’ command to “love your neighbour as yourself” and to serve others with compassion, generosity, and humility. Our prayer is that through these partnerships we may share hope, bring encouragement, and reflect God’s love in our community and beyond.
